Healing

Faith

How many times have we been told to have faith in something and do the complete opposite?

I know I’ve struggled with this and it has definitely shown in the way I look at days ahead of me.

A lot of it had to do with faith in myself to get things completed or even in God.

I know some of you are thinking, well what does God have to do with this? And I’m here to say everything. God had everything to do with faith.

Do you pray when things go wrong or when you need a miracle? Who is it that you pray to and actually listens when you ask for assistance?

Honestly, talking about God and Jesus seems taboo and what we really need to talk about is why it is triggering for a lot of people.

There’s a lot of church/religion trauma out there that has people looking at outside resources to get what they want out of life when God is right there. And a lot of that trauma is not necessarily your trauma but someone else’s trauma that has been passed down to you.

In the times we are in, there are a lot of people that are experiencing trauma and letting everyone know about it. But my question is, are we truly healing or just sitting with the trauma and playing victim to anyone that would listen?

What would happen if you left your pain and hurt at God’s feet and had faith that he can heal you?

Trauma is everywhere and in most of the things we do or take for granted. Just because someone else’s trauma isn’t as extreme as yours doesn’t mean that it isn’t small for them.

One way to help us heal generational trauma is to ask God for help. Not to take it away from you, but to help put you in the path of healing that will benefit you. Your family might think you’re weird or not have faith in your journey, but your journey will always be yours. Not your family’s and doing right by you matters more than pleasing someone who is not walking in your shoes.
