From Writer’s Block to God’s Whisper

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

It has been a while since I have posted.

Honestly, I could not find the words to share with you and I had what you would call writer’s block. And I will share that during that time, it helped me draw closer to God.

This year has definitely been a year of confusion for me. Am I in the right job? Am I doing this correctly? Or the most popular, what am I doing wrong?

It hasn’t always been easy leaning on my own understanding when scripture tells us not to and to lean on God for understanding because his ways are better.

And I will tell you, trusting in God and reading his word, brings you closer to Him and helps you to hear His voice. What is amazing is that when you are in his Word and reading it, you can easily decipher His voice compared to your own voice.

God is always here with us and wants to talk to us. The problem is is that we are too in what is going on around us to fully hear Him. Once we slow down and be in His presence, is when we can hear him.

I’m not saying that my journey has been easy or that yours will be too, but it is worth it in the end when you can give all your burdens to Him and watch Him make a way for you.

These past few months have tested my faith in God, but he has confirmed what has always been there for me and what my life can look like when give it fully to Him.

I am not afraid to say that Jesus is my lord and savior and I know the world will look down on me for it. But if there is one thing that I have learned through all of my challenges, it’s that when everyone turned away from me, Jesus was always there for me. And I want to help you get closer to God as well because he can save you from the cycles that have kept you in a perpetual loop that looks to have no end. If He can save me, He can save you as well.

Like Jesus said, you only need to have faith as small as a mustard seed. And it can only grow from there.
